Winter is definitely not my favorite season. In addition to being a complete wimp about the cold, I hate what the weather does to my skin. From late October to May, my skin is so dry, and I go through gallons of body lotion.
I’m really picky about the type of lotion I use, too. I won’t use anything that contains alcohol in it. Many of the lotion brands contain alcohol, which seems completely counterproductive to me. I also don’t like anything that has a strong or “perfume -y” scent. I liken that to smelling like my grandmother at church. Ew.
When I was asked if I would try out Basa Body lotion, I was interested because it is chemical free, with no artificial fragrances or preservatives. In fact, it’s made with virgin organic coconut oil that smells good enough to eat. I’ve always loved the smell of the beach in the summer time when everyone has slathered on the coconut suntan lotion. Basa Body lotion smells like that but better!
Not only does Basa Body lotion smell good, it also works really well. Although it’s a bit greasier than I would like, it definitely does the trick when it comes to dry skin. When I used it on my hands, I didn’t have to reapply it as often as I do my the lotion I normally use. I also found I didn’t have to use as much.

I tend to try to find lotions that smell like natural fruits as they don’t bother my family’s allergies. I want to try coconut to see if it is ok with the allergies too
