Make It Yourself – DIY Foaming Hand Soap and Hand Sanitizer

Here are a few great ideas to keep the level of germs, and therefore the spread of illness down in your household. The recipes for the homemade foaming soap and hand sanitizer are really extremely easy and very inexpensive!

Foaming Soaps:

You can buy the foaming dispensers at most Dollar Stores

Fill 1/4 of the way with your liquid soap of choice
Fill the rest with warm water
Give it a subtle shake, just enough to mix.
You’re ready to go!

This is the same as the VERY expensive Dawn Foam. Just much less expensive!

You can use this for foaming dish soap, hand soap, and if you have a shampoo hog try it with shampoo. Teach them they only need 2 or 3 pumps.

Homemade Hand Sanitizer:

Here’s what you need (it’s super easy):

1 Cup Aloe Vera Gel (w/ all the sun care out this should be easy to find now)
1/2 Cup 90% or higher Isopropyl Alcohol
A couple drops of the essential oil of your choice (optional)

Fill a pump bottle or squeezable bottle and give a good shake.
That’s it…. Nothing fancy!
Even better (frugally speaking) if reuse a container you already have!
