Original SpiceStack by Youcopia Products Review & Giveaway

Since Hubby is the master of the kitchen, I gave him the Youcopia SpiceStack to review.  Here’s what he had to say about this product:
I’m unorganized.
There, I said it.  Anyone that knows me knows this…that’s why Gina gave me this product to review.  It’s the Original Spice Stack by Youcopia products.  In it’s simplest terms, it’s a way to easily store (and organize!) the spices that otherwise can threaten to take over your entire cabinet. (Or is that just my cabinet?)
I like to cook – and I like to cook with LOTS of different spices.  I have everything from the basic salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg to the less common star anise, celery seed powder, sweet curry and cardamom pods.  I use all of these and many more but very few with regularity so they end up scattered all over the place. When I DO need to find one that sometimes turns into the longest part of the meal preparation. Oor alternately, I can’t find it when I need it so go buy another one and end up with duplicates. [Which drives his wife NUTS.]
That’s where this review comes in.  The Original Spice Stack allows me to put many of these spices into one central place with small, stacked “drawers” that I can pull out and drop down to easily access whatever spice I need instead of the digging I’m so used to (and don’t miss at all!).  The unit I have fits perfectly in my cabinet in the same space that I was using for about half of these spices, so it will also save you some space (and if you have as little cabinet space as I do, that’s NOT insignificant in itself).  It comes with labels that you can put on the outside of the drawers so that you know what is in each one. I’m not that organized yet, but I saved the labels to do it later to make Gina happy at some point in the future.  [I'm NOT holding my breath.]
The “Original” model holds 18 full size spice bottles or 36 of the smaller, half-size bottles – or any combination of the two.  I was very happy to find out that not only do the “traditional” McCormick spice bottles fit fine, so do the ones that I sometimes grab at the dollar store and the ones I spend more on at Penzey’s Spices.  They all hang out happily together in one place until I need them.
It comes in white but according to their catalog, it will be available in aluminum and black next month for anyone that would prefer to put one of these ON the counter instead of hiding it inside the cabinet.  It comes in different sizes – in addition to the one I have that holds 18 full size bottles there are ones available that hold 12, 24 and 30.  They are also making holders for K-cups for your Keurig machine that utilize the same concept.
I love mine (now I just need to get the large one!) and if you need space or are simply as unorganized as I am (or both!) I think you’ll love it also.
