Most states have tax free shopping dates just before school begins so you can save a bit on clothes for the kids. Connecticut’s tax free shopping days are August 19 – 25. Connecticut shoppers will get tax free shopping on an up to $300 purchase of clothing or footwear. Although not yet announced, the tax free shopping weekend is likely to return in Massachusetts this year. The source I consulted seems to think it may be the weekend of August 11 – 12.
