In honor of the 26 victims of the Newtown shooting, many people are doing 26 random acts of kindness. My friend Coleen got a Target gift card left on her car, my friend Del paid for the groceries of the woman in front of him, and still another friend had his gas paid for. Have any of you done or been a recipient of an act of Kindness?
I am planning my acts of kindness. However, I’m consciously waiting until after the holidays because I really want to keep the momentum going. In addition, I’m planning on doing at LEAST 26 random acts of kindness and making this one of my New Years resolutions. And I don’t want this acts of kindness to be the things I normally do, either. I always donate my freebies and my time. Therefore, my acts of kindness really need to be something out of my comfort zone or in some way something I wouldn’t normally think of doing. I have a few ideas, but I’m open to suggestions.
Please leave me a comment on any random acts of kindness you have done or been recipient to as well as any suggestions you have for me. Thanks!

There’s a lady at my ShopRite that will buy the special coupon deals on the front page and gives them to mothers that have kids. She did it for us one time. She got us Ice cream and a 12 pack of soda. I think that’s a great idea!
I passed out Christmas cards to the stores in the local mall. Gave out cookies. Donated to a food pantry. Toys for Tots.
Idea suggestions. Donate supplies or your time to a local animal shelter. Donate to a zoo. Buy a kids book and give it to the next child you see. Pay the fare for a bus rider. Or buy them a pass. Leave a thank you note for the librarians the next time you go to a library. Donate personal care supplies to a women’s shelter. There are so many possibilities. Small or large scale, every act counts. I hope this helped.
Thank you for your suggestions!!!
I bought a bouquet of flowers and gave to the first mom I saw in grocery store with kids going crazy while she shopped. She loved it!
I LOVE this idea!
