I received an email from a reader cluing me into this huge list of foods that contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). I thought many of you might be interested in know which of the common foods you buy may contain GMOs. Although organic foods don’t contain GMOs, not everyone can afford to buy organic. However, I still think it’s important to make informed decisions on what we eat. Therefore, I am providing this information as a public service.
Below is just a small snippet of the list of foods containing GMO ingredients. For the full list, please go HERE.

I’ve also switched over to natural beauty and home products. 3 possible causes of breast cancer are all the make up/ beauty products women use, under wire bras, and deodorant. The later 2 are due to the lymph nodes. Therefore, at 30 I’m changing A LOT throughout the whole house!
Great post Gina. It’s good to listen and learn to both sides of the story. I have always found that the coupons are typically for the processed foods. I really appreciate the postings on the great deals on the “fresh” produce. I use that in the winter when I don’t have much fresh foods on our farm.
I also found lots of documentaries on Food and “the system” on Netflix.
This is why I find couponing so difficult. The coupons always seem to be for crap food that I shouldn’t be eating.
Even if you don’t use coupons for food items and go all organic, you can still coupon for health and beauty items. PLUS, I do post A LOT of coupons for natural/organic products.
Well, if the chemicals, sodium, sugar, corn syrup, food dye, artificial sweeteners & flavors, and processed ingredients don’t get you, the GMO’s will finish the job. Is there ANYTHING that’s safe except teh twigs & branches in my yard?
Joe,
This is a very prickly topic. There is research on both sides of this issue that say GMOs are safe and that they are not. I think the best course of action is to eat healthy, which means as little processed foods as possible. Granted, eating organic is the safest; however, that is a very expensive endeavor.
