Cumberland Farms Smart Pay App – You Gotta Have This!

When I teach couponing classes, I am often criticized for believing the gas points at Stop & Shop are a bad deal.  The way I see it, having to spend $100 before you get $.10 off per gallon of gas seems like a lousy deal.  If I’m couponing right, I’m never going to spend that much in one trip.  Furthermore, these points expire and I will only have a limited time to use them.  Even if I pump 14 gallons into my tank, I’m only saving $1.40.  That piddly amount just doesn’t seem worth it.  I thought there had to be a better way to save on gas without having to spend money.

I’ve known about the Cumberland Farms SmartPay app for about a year, but I’ve just recently started using it.  I don’t know why it took me so long to finally get myself in gear.  Saving money is a particular penchant of mine (wink, wink) and The Cumberland Farms SmartPay app does just that.

This app couldn’t be easier to use!  It takes a little bit of time to set it up (10-15 minutes), but once I was up and running, I haven’t looked back.  The best thing?  I save $.10 per gallon on gas WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY A THING. Just this morning I paid $2.38 per gallon!

Additionally, the app makes gassing up my car easy, convenient, and quick.  I don’t have to go into the store to pay, rummage around for my debit card, or punch in a bunch of info at the pump.  All I need is my smartphone and the number of the pump I’m using.  Getting gas is so much quicker for me now.

Another perk of using the Cumberland Farms SmartPay app is all the freebies.  I get a free drink with every 50 gallons of gas, and I get some sort of freebie every month.  Last month it was a free package of candy!  This month, I’m getting a free Minute Maid orange juice.

Now that I’ve used the Cumberland Farms SmartPay app for about two months, I can definitely say I HIGHLY recommend it.  I love the ease, convenience of using it as well as the freebies.  What are you waiting for?
