Mac Brothers Gourmet Foods Giveaway

As some of you know, my family owns a small business called Mac Brothers Gourmet Foods.  We manufacture, in very small batches, authentic barbecue sauces, black garlic, hot sauces and spice rubs.  All the recipes are our own. We spend our weekends either in our commercial kitchen space or selling our products at fairs and farmers markets.  It’s a lot of work, but it’s something I believe in.  Our products are absolutely delicious!

On June 30th, I will be sending out an email to our subscribers about a giveaway we’re hosting.  Since it’s a giveaway, I thought Gina’s Kokopelli readers would be interested.  (Free stuff, y’all!)  I’m pasting the email below where you’ll find the giveaway link.

Now that July is here, summer is in full swing – and summer means BARBECUE!  Burgers topped with black garlic aioli, pork chops seasoned with Butter My Butt & Call Me A Biscuit pork and poultry spice rub, and chicken slathered in Smokey Southern Gold barbecue sauce are just a few of the things we cook up on our grill here at Mac Brothers.  Cooking outside on the grill is not only economical – you don’t heat up the house and need to use extra electricity to cool it down – it’s also delicious!

To keep things delicious, we’re hosting a giveaway of one of our Mac Brothers’ products.  Just fill out the form and tell us which product you’d like to win.  Make sure you share the contest with friends and family, too! There’s an option to tell us who you forwarded this contest to.  If that person enters and you’re the winner, you’ll get an additional product and your friend or family member will also get a free product.

Summer isn’t only about barbecue.  It’s also about enjoying the gorgeous weather, taking day trips, and spending time with friends and family. If you want to get out for some fresh air and summer fun, please come visit us at one of our farmers market locations.  (Our listing for July is below.) Mac Brothers will be making the rounds to six different markets: Coventry, Cromwell, Noank Village, Old Saybrook, South Windsor, and Wallingford. Many of the markets have free activities for children and live music.

If you can’t make it to see us in person, remember you can always order online through our websites or visit one of our retail locations. Don’t forget we are discontinuing a few of our products.  Make sure you grab them now before they are gone.

Grilled Zucchini and Yellow Squash

The grill isn’t just for meats.  One of our favorites to make on our grill is fresh zucchini and summer squash.  It’s quick, easy, and a great way to use the bounty of your CSA or garden.  Grilled squash is also just plain amazing!  You’ll find Gary’s recipe for Grilled Zucchini and Yellow Squash on the Mac Brothers website or on A Real Dad Makes Real Food Blog.  Enjoy!
